How We Got Started

Arc Blossom was founded in 2018 by two former welfare rights advisors who saw firsthand how administrative complexity was keeping eligible people from accessing support they were legally entitled to.

We watched pensioners lose out on Pension Credit because they didn't know to declare certain savings. We saw people with serious health conditions denied disability benefits because they couldn't articulate their limitations in bureaucratic language.

The system wasn't broken by design, but it wasn't built for accessibility either.

We're based in Edinburgh, but we assist clients throughout Scotland and across the UK. Most of our work is handled remotely, though we meet in person when it makes sense for your situation.

Our Approach to Cases

Every benefits claim has three components: eligibility, evidence, and presentation.

Eligibility is straightforward. Either you meet the criteria or you don't. We assess this at the outset so we're not wasting your time or money.

Evidence is where most claims succeed or fail. Medical records, financial statements, witness testimony, and daily living assessments all need to align with the specific descriptors used in legislation.

Presentation matters more than most people realize. Two applicants with identical circumstances can receive different outcomes based solely on how their forms were completed.

We bring structure to all three areas, which is why our approval rate sits at 94 percent compared to the national average of 68 percent for self-submitted claims.
